Day Two with Guest Designer Cindy Lawrence

Good morning.  Welcome to Day 2 with guest designer Cindy Lawrence.  Cindy has a lovely card today that is sure to brighten everyone's day!  You can also visit Cindy's blog for more great inspiring projects.

Here's Cindy:

I am back
with a fresh and colorful card to share with you on this fine
Tuesday.  I just had to
play with the Botanical Medallions & Banners set. It’s such a
gorgeous set!

I began by
die-cutting my X-Press It Blending Card with the largest Spellbinders Timeless Rectangles die.
I love the lacey edges on this
die set!  The patterned paper layers are
actually from Little
Yellow Bicycle’s Splash collection, which is a very bright,
beachy collection of papers.  The colors
were perfect for my card,
and I was able to choose papers that fit into the theme

The banner
was stamped with Memento Morocco ink, and air-brushed
with a YR07 Copic marker.

 The pretty
lacey trim along the bottom of the card was a pale pink
before I got ahold of it.  I air-brushed
it with a YR07 Copic
marker.  I also added a trio of green rhinestones
to balance the

 I die-cut the
frame with the Nested Oval Medallion Labels dies. I then
die-cut the center oval with a Spellbinders Classic Ovals die.

I stamped the
lovely iris bouquet on X-Press It Blending Card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored it in with the
following Copic markers:

*leaves – YG01/YG03/YG17

*blooms – B61/B63/B66/B69/YG03/Y32

*bow – YR07/YR09/R29

background – YR07

Inside the
card, I added a couple of strips of patterned paper, stamped the
sentiment in Memento Morocco, and stamped the iris bouquet
in Memento Bamboo Leaves, which I stamped off once to
lighten the ink color.

 Thanks so
much for joining me today, friends!  Have
a terrific

Garden Tour 1 Blog Hop

Garden Blog Hop Icon 1

Welcome to JustRite's Garden Tour Blog Hop!  Today our design team and a few guests will be giving you tons of Spring, botanical & loving romantic inspiration using our January release stamp sets which are all shipping NOW!

And don't forget about our coupon code: FONT25to receive 25% off all JustRite font sets and the Horizontal and Vertical Stampers!  You still have until tomorrow, January 19 at midnight, to use it!

I decided to combine both of these products — the beautiful new botanical images and JustRite's fonts – to make a replica of a seed packet for the front of my friendship card:

The seed packet template (which can be found HERE) uses JustRite's Brayton & Times New Roman fonts in the 25 & 15-points and measures approximately 3" x 3.75".

JustRite's Morning Glory image from My Garden was stamped onto the template with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored with these Copic markers:

I used the Horizontal Wood Stamper Set to align the wording for both the top and bottom of the seed packet.  The price was added in the same manner, using a 1-5/8" stamper
TIP: Using a pigment ink assures all the broader surfaces of some of the fonts will be covered and stamp crisply.

It's easy to combine fonts on these Horizontal Stampers AND the shape makes it very easy to use a stamp positioner, for precise stamp placement:

Yes, you can use "round" images on the Horizontal (or Square or Oval!) stampers!  All of JustRite's images are interchangeable, due to the same interlocking grid technology.
